The 10 Poker Hand Rankings
Poker hands are ranked from strongest to weakest. In Texas Hold'em you make the best 5-card hand from your 2 hole cards and 5 community cards. Memorize these rankings — they're the foundation of every decision you make.

1.2 to 1Key Rules for Comparing Hands
- Higher ranking always wins: A flush always beats a straight, regardless of card values.
- Same hand type: Compare the highest cards. A pair of aces beats a pair of kings.
- Kickers matter: If two players have the same pair, the highest remaining card (kicker) decides the winner.
- Suits are equal: No suit is higher than another. Two identical hands in different suits split the pot.
