The short version

Sly Poker is a free website about poker. It is for adults 21+. It is not a place to gamble for money. Lessons, toys, headlines, and room names can be wrong or incomplete. You use them at your own risk.

Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old to use this site. Gambling age is 21 in most of the United States; some places differ. You are responsible for following the laws where you live. We do not knowingly permit use by anyone under 21.

What this site is — and is not

• We are not a licensed gambling operator, casino, sportsbook, or card room.
• Nothing here is an offer to bet, a solicitation to gamble, or a real-money game.
• The five-card dealer and daily spot are practice / entertainment. They use no cash and award no prizes of value.
• Room listings come from public gaming-commission style sources compiled in January 2026. They are not live seating, hours, or odds. Confirm with the venue.
• News headlines are gathered from third-party RSS feeds. We do not write those articles and we do not control their accuracy.
• Strategy content is educational, not professional, legal, or financial advice. Poker has a skill element and a luck element. You can still lose.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Scrape, overload, or attack the site (including bypassing the news-feed rate limit).
• Misrepresent Sly Poker as a place to deposit money or play for cash.
• Use the site if you are under 21.
• Copy the lessons or branding for a competing product without permission, beyond ordinary sharing of a link.

Intellectual property

Sly Poker’s name, layout, original lesson text, and original code on this site are ours (or used under license). Third-party headlines, trademarks, and venue names belong to their owners. RSS items remain the publishers’. Links are provided for reference.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it is accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. Hand rankings and odds in the lessons are standard textbook figures; a dealt toy hand is random; a news item may be outdated the next hour.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sly Poker and its operators are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including gambling losses you take elsewhere after reading something here, travel to a venue that has closed, or reliance on a headline. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

Indemnity

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains logs, localStorage, and the absence of ad trackers today. It is part of how the site works, together with these terms.

Changes and termination

We may change the site or these terms. Continued use after a posted change is acceptance. We may suspend or stop the site at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law cannot be waived. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest still applies.
